As the title said "worry about your own economy!" What do I mean by that you might wonder? Well, I am referring to the mass distraction of mainstream and alternative media focusing on economic collapse. Most people that follows too closely to either sources tends to forget about themselves, they buy into the fear mongering of media.
How can this be harmful? Well, for example, lets pretend someone just found out that the stock market is going collapse and hearing that there will be heavy loss of jobs all over. Typically what happens in this situation is:
1. The person will freak out and be sucked into the media on daily basis and lose focus.
2. Start buying survival gears and long term storage foods that taste like vomit.
3. Start buying guns.
4. Start buying silver/gold.
Now, I am not saying that it's bad to have or do any of those things list above but there are people out there that would go overboard with this stuff. You have to learn to question everything you hear. The reason why I am posting this is to try to wake up those who are in it too deep, because I was once in this situation. I bought into the hype of gold/silver, guns, MRE's and etc..... Guess what? I end up selling everything and ended up throwing away the MRE's because they tasted so bad!
All the money I've invested into gold/silver , guns, MRE's and other stuff I loss money on it in a major way! I ended up selling my precious metal because I realized I needed cash to buy stuff, pay bills but unfortunately there are people on youtube such as "Jsnip4" advising people to put every penny they have on gold/silver. Sold my guns because I realize I never used them, it was just sitting there collecting dust. MRE's I couldn't sell because no one wanted them due to the nearing expiration date so I ended up eating a few packs myself and it tasted so bad that I decided that if things get that bad I rather just die than to eat that vomit.
If things get to the point that you need guns or survival food to keep you alive maybe being dead is not such a bad thing? If you need to survive so you can shoot another human being or animal that might not be a world worth living in?
But honestly, I think "yes" the economy can collapse and "yes" we can run out of food, but the probability is very low. I believe the whole doom and gloom community is fuel by those who wants to profit off of people's fear and that's why it's forever doom no matter when and where. I do believe in general prepping but some of the stuff people do is way beyond the scope. There are people out there that would spend their life saving on a underground bunker and have enough guns to have WWWIII. I have one word for those people......"NUTS!"
Bottom line, do some general prep for potential natural disaster, meaning have enough food /water for a few weeks not years. If you need to have enough food for years then this might not be a world you want to live in anyway.
PEACE!
